This is our mural in Falenica.
Falenica was a mostly Jewish city before Worl War II. It was famous for its market and summer resort, which was very popular with Warsaw citizens. During World War II Falenica became a Jewish ghetto. All of its inhabitants were transported to Treblinka in August 1942.
The old woman with a basket is a jewish orange seller from Aleksander Gierymski's famous painting entitled "Pomarańczarka".
