Part of the Quilted Landmarks series for Quiltfolk Magazine, the four presidents make for an interesting set of portraits. The Dakota Star Quilt block is integrated into the sky and foreground.
I am on an "Americana" theme this summer showcasing famous national landmarks for Quiltfolk magazine. The last time I created an illustration of Mt. Rushmore I was working in gouache with an airbrush, or as I like to say before computers (BC) as opposed to after digital (AD).
