The site is located on the land belonging to the monastery Cozia in the village Călimăneşti. The project aimed to design a solution between the strict function of a nursing home and the picturesque context of the mountains. Thus, one of the main directions was to establish a direct physical relationship between the building and the land, by proposing a low-rise buildings with 2 floors and the common areas on the ground floor. Another direction followed was to conceive private outdoor spaces, semiprivate, public, with diversified activities designed to bring a sense of belonging and community to the elderly.
