This project was based on the theme of future.
I went ahead and based my theme on the ‘future’. How us designers have now stepped out into the real world. That is our future. So I based my design style very futuristic on two of my designs.
This project was just to create a poster for our end of year Degree Show. This was one of our briefs, which was also a mini competition between everyone in our class. At first I was going to screen print my poster but then had second thoughts. I came up with three very different styles for a poster.
Final Invitations
You’re probably thinking why a massive Seagull, this is because I was linking my poster to my university, Southampton, well known for its docks which is famous for the Titanic, the docks being linked with the seagulls. I then based a structure around the bird. I made the triangle blocks to represent us designers and what we do as a living. The lines around the bird is the nest. This was to show how we are flying away from the nest into the real world.
