As a student at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute I followed a course called Visual Culture. The main object of the course was to create a visual identity. As first assignment we got a week to create a meaningful image, inspired by a web of found images in and around Amsterdam.
I got my inspiration from 'makeble beauty', the way we humans use machines and technology to perfect our own bodies. But the more we beautify ourselves, the more we merge 'man' with 'machine'.
