A web video game

About the project
In 2012, I worked on an immersive video game project for the client Vivaweb during my one semester internship at ODD1. Based on the point and click mechanism and inspired by the video game Dragon's Lair, the game inputs interactivity in a short-movie to propose a new immersion into a video game.

Goal
My mission was to define player interactions in the games and to create the gameplay for mature players.

Design process
First, I did a research on web games interactions and web usability enhanced by gamification. I summarized these insights and then I began to write a game design document. My role was to explain it to the art and development team. The game was tested which allowed me to receive real user feedback. Based on the result:
- 100% of users enjoyed the interactive dimension of the game
- 82% of users found the interactions contributing to the story
- 91% of user found the aesthetics contributes to the story
- 82% of users found the usability was good for gaming
- 82% of users enjoyed this experience as a movie
