My Fluffy clouds project started about 5 years ago when I first got a graphics tablet. It wasn't long before I saw a huge, very textured and embossed cloud. Luckily I was able to take a picture of it.
Then I started to draw that cloud with calligraphic brushes. At one point it reminded me of Van Gogh's style which was also noticed by the audience. And I am happy that it resulted in a certain reinterpretation of post-impressionism.A few years later I found a photograph of that very cloud and made a series of clouds based on a reference sky. And just then in some illustrations of the sky I could see images of cute fluffy clouds, I decided to bring them to life by adding emotion to them. Before that, I made some sketches of the images themselves and matched them with different color combinations.
