Destruction of natural habitats and important population declines amongst all realms of life are well-known consequences of human activities. The IUCN Red List website hosts population dynamics data which I used to visualize the 165 plants that are considered extinct as of today, by continent. Each species is represented by a flower with 11 "threat petals", and sorted vertically by the period it was last seen. Flowers connect with more data including species name and country of origin.
