La Bikineria - Branding



The concept

La Bikineria is a concept foodtruck with "croque-monsieur" as its main speciality. The name Bikineria comes from a club opened in 1953: La Sala Bikini. People from the city started to ask the bars to serve them "the sandwich from Bikini", which later became simply a 'bikini'. 

For the branding, it was obvious to me that the rich history behind the sandwich needed to play a big part in it and I therefore chose to have the 50s atmosphere as the main source of inspiration. Mixing this up with the typical Barcelona spirit and the Mediterranean way of life and the big role the beach plays here, were also a big inspiration to me.
