ACSF’s Illegal Charter Reporting Hotline

In his role as managing director of Jets.com, aviation professional Edgar Alacan leads strategic management for a company with more than 50 employees and over $40 million in annual sales. Edgar Alacan maintains membership in professional organizations including the Air Charter Safety Foundation.

Committed to advancing aviation safety standards, the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) operates educational and safety initiatives such as the Illegal Charter Reporting Hotline, which recognizes that illegally conducted commercial flights adversely affect the entire private charter industry. Before boarding a charter flight, passengers can ask to see the aircraft’s FAA-Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. If the aircraft cannot produce this certificate, or if there is any other cause for suspicion about the charter’s compliance with FAA and Department of Transportation regulations, the hotline accepts all questions and concerns.

When passengers call the Illegal Charter Reporting Hotline, they receive a case code they can use to follow up on their report. Callers who do not wish to identify themselves can remain anonymous.
