Del éxtasis al vacío/ Ilustración para Game Report

For my 9th and last participation (for now) and appearance in the GameReport magazine I got to illustrate an articule that talks about addictions called "Al final del túnel"

Del Éxtasis al vacío: Crónicas de una adicción

The idea for this illustration was simple to imagine but complicated to achieve, on one hand I had the familiar feeling of an afternoon in role-playing games where we spent an unimaginable number of hours searching for objects, doing missions, leveling up and trading with everything that we could but it also brought with it that feeling of isolation in which I questioned whether or not it was worth leaving my earrings to complete one more level and while my characters increased in experience and level, was I reducing my own? In the end, it took me a while to realize that everything can be carried out with a rhythm and some control because, as the saying goes, "the dose makes the poison."
Briefing
The idea for this article was based on a personal experience of the author, who wrote:

"After my accident I was depressed for two years and became "addicted" to a game called 'Rappelz' http://en.rappelz.webzen.com/Media/, a classic Korean MMO (pets, very slow, lots of raid and a lot of market for drop items at 0.5%); I talk about the mechanisms of certain addictions in certain psychosocial/emotional contexts, that is, the obsession with gaining virtual stamina when you are at zero real stamina. a very pure pair of angels/demons, something that attracted devotees of Christianity."
