The Cheeca Lodge & Spa Resort caught on Fire on New years eve of 2008. With the servicing areas of the hotel compromised the Resort was shut down. Reconstruction was of the essence to property owner and for the business of the resort. Metrika Inc was hired by Cheeca Holdings LLC, to provide design consuting and coordination between the owner, the construction team - Royal Concrete Concepts - and the local architectural firm Robert Barnes & Associates. The Challenge to accomplish in 8 months what would normally take 18 was met. On December 15, 2009 the first guests were checking in. New Lobby, restuarants, bars, 3,000 sqft kitchen, 64 new rooms along with the landscaping redesign of the pool and beach area.
