Paris Industrial - Branding

During my time at Paris Industrial I had the opportunity to work on the rebranding process of the company. The top left features their original logo and the others are the final four out of 100+ variations. The initial concept of the logo involves a compass rose infused with a three way valve. This valve is based off of the their top selling valve. My initial revision to their logo involved the symbology of the three way valve.
Then another route that was taken was slightly revising the original logo by modernizing the typography and simplifying the shapes of it. The final was inspired from vintage / retro mechanic logo's in order to emphasize that Paris Industrial is a company that has been around for over 30 years.
The final one that is in current usage involes a more realistic approach. The valve was recreated from a 3d rendering and converted into a vector format for scalability. I used recreated the shading using mezzotint in Photoshop and then redrew that in illustrator in order to get the correct shading levels.
When I was tasked with addressing the redesign of Paris Industrial's website I had to consider who all under my department would actually end up being involved in the coding of it.
This involved user-testing on who would click on certain things first. What colors depicted the reaction we were going for. This prototype would later be reworked by another under my team to give the owner's more options before engaging in actually coding it.
One of my biggest goals for this redesign was to make a user friendly experience by focusing on a responsive, modern, and simple layout. If you click below you can view the prototyped version of the redesign.
This brochure was designed as being a potential route during the rebranding period at Paris Industrial. This revolved heavily around relating back to other proposed branding material such as one of the later website mock ups.
This would have been part of a series that would focus on certain products that Paris Industrial provides as well as serve another purpose promoting lesser known products throughout it.
Duotoned images, minimal color palette, and the overall experience of the user are some of the highlights for this piece. An example is how I decided to make sure that both sides of the brochure contained contact information to speed up the process for the user.
I was tasked with modernizing the established training material. My solution was to transfer the current process over to interactive pdf's that would clean up the look of the training as well as simplify the user's experience.
I became the Design Director over the department as it continued to grow. As the design director I managed the day to day projects and needs of the department, company, and customer.
In addition in interactive training aid catalogs we also designed technical animations for the tire plants to help them understand how a new system works. This would go to train future employee's as well as helping when maintenance was needed.
