During the second half of 2012, through our partnership with the Whalen Berez Group, MP Consulting was hired to manage the procurement, fabrication and installation of a nearly $1M custom millwork package at the Jade Hotel, NYC.
The above rendering was provided by the architect as the image of the front entrance system to the hotel. Our drafting team took this rendering, created shop drawings for approval, and then fabricated and installed the architect's vision (see below photo of installed system).
The storefront system is the first impression visitors get when entering the hotel, and was critical in the overall theme of an "old world" hotel, as if the place had been around for a century...
The above computer generated rendering was the extent of the information we were given to build the bar and back bar in the lobby/restaurant area. It was to have walnut wood, accented by antiqued mirrors and stainless rails.
