The White Springs Area Trails are ideal for weekend hiking adventures and pass by prime camping spots on the sandy beaches of the Suwannee River.

2. Little Manatee River State Park. This park features a 6.5-mile hiking trail that showcases the diversity of fauna and flora typically found in the state’s pine uplands ecosystems and is popular with birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. The park also includes a three-mile-long hiking trail along the river’s bluffs which has been classified as a significant waterway.

3. Big Cypress National Preserve. This preserve is recognized as one of the most unique hiking areas in the state and includes a section of the Florida National Scenic Trail. The preserve’s hiking trails pass through the Florida panther’s natural habitat and into wet forests of dwarf cypress trees.
