#6FanArts Challenge

- #SixFanarts Challenge -
Jumping on this popular and fun instagram challenge, the six fanarts, I chose 6 characters requested by my instagram followers. In this challenge I want to explore different digital illustration "mediums". I'll explain.
Tuxedosam - this cute character is so adorable and I illustrated him using watercolour/wet ink brushes.
Power Puff Girls - My childhood favourite, drawn using dry ink brush / chalky-style brushes. For their flying trails (?) I use watercolour brush with lower opacity. I then add in highlight details with the free MaxU brush sketchy sacramento to give additional texture.
Winnie the Pooh - Who doesn't love this adorable bear. I use watercolour and wet brush to give that fluffy sweet looking illustration.
Princess and The Pauper - I spent a little more time concepting this illustration and end up making this composition, showing their similarity as "twins" but also contrasting their difference (hair colour and dress). I used the same style with the previous powepuff girl illustration. This seems to be my follower's favourite.
Iron Man - For my favourite avengers, I use gouache brush to give this loose-looking illustration. I am inspired with the POP dolls aesthetic with their iconic big head.
No Face - lately I put this sweet spirit character from Studio Ghibli, Spirited Away, tucked in the corner. I tried using 6B pencil to its maximum size to color him and dry ink for the details. I originally use yellow-gold for the shimmering lights but decided that white looks better.
All in all, a really fun challenge that also drives engagement with my followers. I enjoyed drawing these characters and looking forward to try the (less popular but as exciting) #4shipsfanart next.
