LAXENBURG

This is a unique place in the south of Lower Austria. A place of power and a combination of energies.
A combination of modern traditions and old covenants. Laxenburg is the location of the movie set for many historical films. Laxenburg is the home of Europes most modern film archives. There you can find more than 120.000 roles and that is why it is the biggest film collection in Austria. Exhibitions and retrospectives of the Austrian film archives have their origins in Laxenburg.

In this place were born and lived celebrities and people who played a key role in past Austrian life.
For example – after her splendid wedding with emperor Franz Joseph, empress Sisi spent her honeymoon in Laxenburg. She loved endless riding-outs through Laxenburgs woods. It was also in Laxenburg castle where her son crown prince Rudolph was born.

Laxenburg is located not far from Vienna, the capital of Austria. All who were there did not remain indifferent to this beautiful and magical place.
