Gran’s Thumbs Urban Farming Sowing Kit was created for individuals who want to start a simple garden. The sowing kit includes seeds, biodegradable plantable pots, jute twine, instructions manual, gloves, hand fork and trowel. The toolbox comes in separate wood pieces for the user to assemble, creating a possibility for an alternative relationship with the product.
The core intentions behind designing Gran’s Thumbs is to encourage resourcefulness of taking objects that have it’s initial or marketed uses, and repurposing it for a second life.
