In the Ayrshire - A tourism campaign for Ayrshire

Project Information - This project was based on creating some sort of tourism campaign for the area of Ayrshire, from which I live. Having long been seen as the coastal area and for its seaside towns, Ayrshire, like many other smaller Scottish regions, have fallen out of favour by tourists who seem to choose the bigger cities over the smaller location counterparts. This is something that has taken an effect on Ayrshire, a destination that still has a lot to offer visitors.
Concept - In the Ayrshire is a fictional answer to the challenges faced by Ayrshire and is an online presence that Ayrshire needs to stand out. The design itself is a deliberate attempt to stay away from the heavily image based websites that are always seen in other locations as this sells what the people want to see, rather than what they could see. As a result, I designed the website to carry an illustrative style with any imagery being used being that of those visiting. This is an attempt to promote the idea of the viewer visiting themselves in order to get photos to keep for themselves. The website is also coded to show specific information relating to the time the user chooses and is shown below in the mockups of the website.
