The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray had announced, on Sunday that the final semester examination of the graduation and post-graduation students has been cancelled. The evaluation will be done on the basis of previous semesters. 

He said, “there were many suggestions and demands when it came to the university degree examination. After the consultation with the vice-chancellors of many universities, we have decided to cancel the final year examination.” 

Thackeray also said that it is not possible to conduct the examination in the present situation even if it is to be allowed to conduct in July. Students cannot wait for the long as they have to enter into the next phase of their careers. The students who wanted to improve their score or grades can take the exam which has been scheduled later. 

In this regard, the education expert and former vice-chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), has devices a model to conduct the examination by maintaining a physical distancing. According to his opinion that the students should not be simply promoted.
