This concept was derived out of recognizing the role graphic design plays in our every day lives. Pictograms, the basic most deconstructed form of an image is used to communicate to people from different cultural backgrounds and dialects.
So when a traveller who ventures into a country like china, he could use this language kit to communicate his basic wishes along with the help of hand gestures and body language.
I wanted to communicate it's purpose by using the ultimate representational object of travel by encasing it in a passport. It is also sized for it to be conveniently slotted in your wallet for easy access.
