Sometimes, with a little bit of luck, good things are born from an accident, by mistake. During the production of a ring from the previous collection, the jeweler was having trouble extracting the metal from the mould, the ring kept twisting and warping as it was hardening. The result was a distorted version of the original ring.

As children, we often question our perception of the world and its components. Is my red the same as your red? Could my square be your circle and my circle be your triangle? The way we view our surroundings is based on our personal perceptions and impressions that may often be distorted by our experiences, circumstances, knowledge and preconceptions. Our perception of colors, shapes and objects is unique to each one of us. The impression left on us by everything we see is also very subjective.

This collection is my take on this idea, a bit of a distorted view on reality and the conventional. One initial geometrical form is deformed manually in different directions to create a series of shapes that each now becomes its own individual piece. Simplicity and distinguished lines are at the essence of this collection. Hints of color are introduced to accentuate certain areas and emphasize the shapes.
