(A Quick Mention by Kenneth Photography)

(Fun Fact is that the Definition of the word photograph is "Light Drawing"! In terms of the definition of 'said' word; which I'll be 'inevitably' saying (verbally-illustrating) in 'modestly~simplefashion, >Photograph<  is interpreted as 'Photo = Light' & 'Graph = Drawing'!)

(PS: What a useful piece of information to have in the photography arsenal of one's memory bank of; generally-speaking, 'inestimable' & 'illimitable' storage space!)

'A Co-Owned Project' by Kenneth and Sylvie!

The Intricate and Mesmerising 'Tantalising' Beauty of a Silver Orb Weaver spider and it's Masterfully Created Web of Brilliance - Natural Occasional Occurrences of Despair, Doom & Fatal-Downfall to the unwary and hapless victim who chances upon it's web!

Caption:
This beautiful silver orb weaver was rather docile in it's web in a place where they don't normally make their home which is low in the grass! I had to capture this moment and decided to try and get a creative shot, in getting down at eye level which gave me a very sore neck but allowed me to get a lovely perspective!
Title:
Into the daily life of an Elephant Weevil - Just casually strolling down a tree, taking in my surroundings & entertaining random thoughts that enter my elephant weevil mind; I 'utterly' & 'lightheartedly' love just going about my day, don't mind me!

Caption:
Here is a photo that I took a while ago which is of an elephant weevil, which is a beetle which kind of has the face of an elephant and has an incredibly thick/tough exoskeleton!! One of the things that I love about these beetles is that they're an absolute joy to interact with and they're very docile in nature at times as well!!
Title:
The True Beauty of Symbiosis in Nature - The Bee and the Enchantingly 'Decadently-Richly' Pink Flower - 'Immersively-Vibrant and Exquisite smelling', Utterly Irresistible to all that are naturally attracted to it's ineluctable aroma!

Caption:
The Flowers are always so beautiful during full blooming season, and when this stingless bee landed on this beautiful flower with pollen all over it's legs, I knew I had to get in on the action and take this macro photo!
Title:
The Grasshopper and it's not so secret Admirer or Perhaps just 'Remarkably' 'Cautiously-Curious' & 'Energetically-Silent' Observer - Curious of all that it naturally passes by in it's Daily and 'Living on the Edge' Life; vigilant of all that it passes, & with it being ever so true for this jumping spider that you never really know when your next day, next minute or next microsecond could be your very last!! You may just encounter something larger than you with an insatiable, illimitable and voracious/ravenous appetite that's very very famished, luckily that's not the case in this circumstance!

Caption:
I noticed this jumping spider doggedly observing this grasshopper and just felt compelled to get at eye level and take this photograph! The interaction between them which lasted for more than forty minutes (which is both seldom and incredible to witness) was a mini-story in itself which I felt I had to photographically document! It makes me wonder what the spider was thinking as it looked at the grasshopper for so long?!

Insects from Canada

When my friend Kenneth told me that he would like to carry out a photo project with me, I immediately accepted, because I know that he is a talented photographer that his photos would be sensational.

When I saw his five pictures, wow I did!!! Normally, I was supposed to upload five pictures, but I don't know the name of one of the insects, so I uploaded two pictures of the insect, one from the front and one from the back, to help identify it.

An little insect on a water fountain

Caption:
Is it a bug or a beetle? I asked myself this question and did a lot of research to find the answer. I have read that bug has long visible antennae, but is that enough to declare that this insect is a bug?
I had seen this insect at a water fountain at the Montreal botanical gardens. I thought it was pretty and I took several pictures of it. If you know the name of this insect, it would be very kind of you to tell me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I took these two pictures on July 17, 2016.

Bumblebee at work

Caption:
In 2015, when I saw this picture on my monitor, I was amazed by the beauty of the bumblebee and I was very happy. This picture is one of my favorite photos and has been my first popular photo when I had my first Your Shot gallery on the National Geographic website. But, this website was deleted in 2019.

I took this shot with my Nikon COOLPIX S9400 camera. It was July 23rd, 2015.

An Opilione at the Montreal botanical garden.

Caption:
An opilione is an arachnid like spiders and scorpions, but the opilion is not a spider even though he has four pairs of legs because its abdomen is fused to the rest of its body. They live on the ground.
The common names are "daddy longlegs" - "long-legged spider" and "harvestman."

I photographed this long-legged spider on September 5, 2015 at the Montreal botanical garden. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opiliones

A Japanese beetle training on a leaf.

Caption:
The first time I saw and photographed a Japanese beetle was in 2015. I had been to Notre-Dame Island in Montreal and I saw Japanese beetles on almost every plant.

I had taken a lot of pictures, including this one which is my favorite with this bug, although after he left, the roses are no longer very beautiful. Photo taken on July 11, 2015.

In closing, I would like to thank you Kenneth for this invitation and fabulous subject for our project. I love all your pictures, but especially the one of this beautiful blue-eyed grasshopper, it is my favorite. Congratulations, Kenneth!
Go on, don't stop taking pictures, you're a great photographer, my friend from Australia!!! ☺

Congratulations Sylvie on uploading an array of very nice images! I have never seen an image of a harvestman before (spider with the long legs on the flower), and so to see your image of one was very magnificent! And also, my fav photo is your photo of the Honey Bee taken on 25th July 2015!! The composition and the way the colours contrast & complement each other is tremendous to me!! This is the first time I've used a photo grid and I have really enjoyed using it, and I will be using photo grids on Behance from now on!)
So those are my "Top Five Favourite Macro Photos" I've taken! Maybe one day, I will take macro photography more seriously and develop my macro photography skills even further?! Right now, my main focus is on wildlife and landscape photography! But I am always greatly pleased when I take a wonderful macro shot; it is always a profound pleasure and delight to be in the company of a creature and to have been so remarkably privileged to take it's portrait!
