Tony Hawk Huck Jam Bikes Set

Production Design & Art Direction
Created a visual guide and design stylesheet outlining the vision and creative aspects of this spot.  Created vector art files for large graphics and gobos for projections. Selected all materials and supplies used to create set pieces and backdrops. I assembled back light panels, hoses, and large plastic discs to create a background set piece that looked like a bike factory machine made out of giant bike parts to help give the room a subtle “bike” feel.

Design and Build “Robots”
Scouted and shopped junk and surplus stores, harvested bike parts, and purchased new hardware to create from scratch five unique and modular robotic looking machines to match the director’s vision and needs.

Hire Crew and Outside Vendors
Hired, managed, and gave art direction to the crew to build the set elements, ramps, false walls, and product beauty shot texture walls, as well as paint props and dress the sets as per design and to camera. I hired several outside vendors for this production.  One that stands out was was a stunt ramp company in L.A. contracted to create a “rainbow ramp” out of steel for one of the shots. Our stunt coordinator drew some specs which I translated into a computer file.  It was a tight deadline but the company was able to get it done!
