Power Play Visuals.

Concept inspired by everyday people and the stereotypes. I wanted to capture un-usual scenes, give people something positive to think about us.

Meet my dear friend Sino, educated, young, confident as you can see, independent, beautiful model. She is from a good home in Khayelitsha but society might assume otherwise. The stereotypical perception about Township girls is not all true. It has been said that, girls from ‘eKasi’ are cheap, with no future, un-educated, poor, live an unhealthy lifestyle and have a low life expectancy. I am here to tell you they lied.

Not uSino my darling; even in her bikini on the streets at Site-C mntase she still looks like a Queen she is. She loves aMageu (energy drink associated with blue coller workers, yep that drink) as the people we grew up on that drink its delicious. Love yourselves and show up for one another, respectfully... don't assume we're all the same.
