I knew when I finished my animated short film Vending Machine back in January of last year. I knew I wanted to do a sequel one day. 

One and a half years later, after 6 months of work. 

I finished Rules: A story about breaking out of your comfort zone, adventure, and freedom.

After finishing the script and storyboards I sketched out the backgrounds, just like In Vending Machine I wanted camera angles to play a crucial role in the story. So a strong foundation where this is present goes a long way.

In my opinion, the sketch phase is the longest and most grueling part of the animation process, but also the most rewarding.

Once that was finished, the fun part: Coloring and shading.

Can't forget my favorite shot in the whole film. I could almost smell my processor heating up throughout the rendering of it all but it was well worth it.

Just like with my previous film, the journey was grueling.

But I'm very satisfied with the result.
