Canva Tee For Metro Manila Pride March
BACKGROUND
Metro Manila Pride Org. kicks off Pride Month 2019 with the theme ‘Resist Together’—thousands of LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, organizations, and companies like Canva PH come together to march and wave the colorful flag as support for the rights of the community.
THE CHALLENGE
How can you design a shirt that reflects the theme and battlecry of the community?
To show the concept of resisting together, the letterforms carry sharp corners, thick strokes, and tight kerning. Overall, it portrays how the community bands together to fight and resist maltreatment and discrimination.
The rainbow symbol and flag of the LGBTQ+ community stands for its unique members. I wanted to take the same colors and add in some shapes and patterns to lift the colors a bit more.
