Challenge
Goodness Yoga & Wellness Retreat Center, a non-profit based in Washington state dedicated to providing resources to survivors of Domestic Violence, was founded in 2019. Before being able to gain full 501(c)3 non-profit stature with the IRS and Charitable Organization status with Washington state the Business Plan, website, and branding needed to be completed so that Board Members could be recruited.
Founded just before the COVID-19 crisis began, the challenge of beginning a non-profit venture quickly became more daunting due to the subsequent global financial crisis. Goodness' dedication to providing resources to survivors of Domestic Violence only became more relevant through this time, however, as Domestic Violence rates only increase in critical times. Visually communicating these statistics, both historical as well as the drastically increased rates, was a key factor in the content marketing efforts through 2020.
Beauty Abounds
The Pacific Northwest offers a beautiful backdrop for a secluded safe haven that is easily accessible by multiple metropolitan areas. While Goodness will serve survivors nationally, a secondary goal of the organization is to improve the quality of life and provide job opportunities for the local community. Honoring the community that we serve and that will help us to grow beyond our wildest dreams, images of local scenery are used throughout Goodness marketing materials.

When selecting a name, I searched for something that both conveyed the mission of the organization and also offered some versatility for content marketing.
