A few weeks ago, I drew a small sketch of a series of abstract eyes, growing like a plant. I had the thought of doing a bigger version, with real eye photos, so I cut out a few from various magazines, and started drawing and glueing.
You can see all the different stages of my workflow, from the pencil sketch, to the layering of the ink. There is also a lot of pencil erasing involved, but is probably not noticeable in the photos.
