“A rua, a praça e o jardim, devem ser uma grande sala de estar, confortavelmente mobilada. O mobiliário urbano deve ser estável, fixo, orientado, resistente ao vandalismo, reparável, adaptando-se aos utilizadores. De preferência, não deverá reter a água da chuva secando rapidamente. Tudo isto sem protagonismo demasiado, respeitando a envolvente. É uma resposta. Um desenho escorreito e limpo, possível de posterior adaptação com acessórios a outras situações, sem perder a identidade.”

“Streets, squares and public gardens should be a big living room, comfortably furnished. The urban furniture should be stable, firm, oriented, resistant to vandalism, reparable and adaptable to its users. Preferably, it
should not retain rain water, being able to dry fast. In addition, it should not have a superfluous exposure in order to respect the surrounding. A simple design could be the correct answer, with a neat and vigorous design susceptible of further adaptations, using different acces¬sories, to other situations without ever losing its identity.”
