Project for Oxford Royal Academy Architecture course (August 2019)
In response to the project brief "Public and Private" I designed a pavilion to be made of glass and steel for people to relax in, which should be open to the public but at the same time create a calm and private atmosphere. The main feature of the structure is the incorporation of the trees, which were on the site and which I wanted to keep in order to have a shielded environment. Furthermore being surrounded by nature contributes to the calming atmosphere. The columns were inspired by the design of the columns in the Bodleian Library.
Video about the poem "Sonett 15" by William Shakespeare (June 2019)
For me personally, the poem was capturing the vanity of life and humanity. The lyrical speaker contrasts this temporarity of the general society with his love to someone, as not even the death of this beloved person will cause his love to vanish and therefore the loved one will keep living in his memory. A time-lapse sequence of people leaving a train or crossing a square in the city center shows the relation between the individual and the city. Several black and white clips in the video are stand in contrast to the coloured sequence of the burning rose, which is symbolic for the love.
Destruction and construction (January 2020)
I was inspired for this project by the ruins in Rome. First of all, I destroyed two pots and recomposed the fragments to a landscape. After doing some drawings of the composition, I decided to design an office complex with several levels and pathways, starting from the position of the shards.

Work inspired by Paul Klee (November 2019)
For this abstract collage I was inspired by Paul Klee's painting "Acqua selvaggia". I created different layers by cutting out pieces of cardboard and sticking them on top of each other. I wanted to put the focus on the three-dimensionality, and emphasize the contrast between the straight edges of the letters and the wild, curved lines of the waves.
Free hand Drawings of the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center by Renzo Piano (November 2019)
Photographic project on the Synagogue in Munich (January 2020)
The synagogue in the city center of Munich forms part of the jewish center which was designed by Wandel Hoefer Lorch Architekten Stadtplaner BDA. What I particularly liked about the building was its simple shape which allowed to focus on the materials used. I found the contrast between the rough lower part and the fragile upper half especially interesting. Besides the aesthetic contrast I liked that the lower part has a historic background, representing the wall of sighs, whereas the cube on top adds a modern element to the building.
School project "Comfort zone" (February 2020)
In response to the brief "Comfort zone" I created a sculpture. The round sphere represents a womb and at the same time a birds nest. The person lying within the sphere is sleeping and therefore in need of comfort as it is in its most fragile state, but at the same time being comforted because it is being able to escape its worries and problems by dreaming.
Building designs inspired by the form of seashells (February 2020)
Water colour paint of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum with paintings by Hilma af Klimt (December 2019)
Free hand drawing of the art school in Bordeaux (October 2019)
Sketch of the Brooklyn Bridge (December 2019)
Building designs inspired by the form of seashells (May 2020)
Model (May 2020)
In order to visualize my ideas for the building designs I built a model. During the process of building the model I experimented with different positionings of the arches and fotographed it from different angles.
