Snow White - Exhibition Book Editions

Exhibition Catalog and Collector's Edition

A set of books created for the opening of Snow White’s 75th Anniversary exhibition held at the Walt Disney Family Foundation in 2012. Worked closely with film historian J.B. Kaufman in the selection of images to establish visual content and narrative. The books feature a wealth of sketches, step-by-step processes and deleted scenes. Because so much of the content pioneers the making of the film it felt only natural to present the heroine in ‘art’ form on the covers rather than the familiar animated Snow White which we are accustomed to seeing. The catalog jacket is a concept illustration and the collector’s book jacket was the original poster art used for the debut of the 1937 movie.

Exhibition catalog and oversized collector's volume. Type treatment for the catalog is reminiscent of the era embellished with a touch of fairy-tale by the application of a 5th color (spot gold ink) throughout both books.
