The Usual Spot

The Usual Spot 📰 A monthly teen newspaper📇 that is made by youths, about youths and for youths. 🔎Reporting on all teen things👙 that matter...

From the duo 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♂️ behind GSPOT, this publication dishes on every aspect of youth culture and adolescence. Each relatable issue📆 revolves around themes that tackle specific topics about growing up, youth empowerment and teen wellness💪🏽 (including some things your mom or BFF won’t tell you about 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Our paper prides itself in putting a strong emphasis on youth stories that explicitly showcase the crazy highs and lows🎢 of teenhood — what it really means to be a teen in the digital age and how to embrace the endless potential we all have🤝

We ensure that our youth-centred content hits home and broadens perspectives instead of encouraging 🧖‍♀️ “How To Look Good”💅🏻 culture. Additionally, we also support young talent by giving you the lowdown on the coolest new kids on the block 🏢 such as emerging artists, musicians and tween-trepreneurs, profiling genuine experiences of both the up-and-coming🏃🏻 and everyday teen🚶🏻.

Inspired by the teen spirit of 60s alternative presses and nostalgic school 🚌 newspapers published by students across campuses worldwide, we decided to make a fun💩 and eye-catching👀 newspaper that offers a unique voice and celebrates the cumming-of-age issues and events that affect us all — from boners to breakups🚶🏻‍♀️, from prom dresses👗 to that zit🙅‍♀️ on your forehead. We aim to grow up☝️with you from cringe to confidence, warts and all👩🏼‍🎤👨🏽‍🎤

We hereby pledge our allegiance✋to slay through the #awkward teen life🙎‍♀️ with you through laughs👅, lust👄 and love💋, together. Hopefully, we can squeeze in some fun and games📱in there as well.

Simply put, We Got Youth 🙌
