Inspired by the frame and its history this work is the result of a series of coincidences. Collage offered me the opportunity to go beyond the two-dimensional aspect of the traditional photograph while studying the aesthetic of vernacular portraits. Those portraits became anonymous, precious imaginary characters built from components that were slated for destruction.
