One thousand and One nights is a medieval middle eastern literary epic compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age, which tells the story of scheherazade, a sassanid queen, who must relate a series of stories to her malevolent husband, King shahryar, to delay her execution. The story I chose to illustrate is called Julnar the sea born and her son badr basim of Persia.
