This piece was chosen as "Best in Show" for Kern Council of Governments 40th anniversary art contest. They asked artists to combine their logo with the theme of a bicycle as a means of transportation. The logo is carved from wood and the negative space is made from plexiglass. A retro bicycle wheel is emerging out of the logo in which a handmade clock is positioned directly in the middle of the spoke allowing the wheel to spin freely without affecting the clock. The piece won me $1000 and recognition at the showing.
