I use the linear compositions of the motherboards of electronic devices, to refer to the supremacy and advancement of technology in our lives. The work draws from a heterogeneous range of personal influences such as studying mathematics & informatics in high school, growing up with my father, an electronics engineer, and the occult and SF.
Using unconventional materials, I explore the limits of the painting surface, through the texture and the relief that it can reach. I am focusing on human interaction with the organic and the inorganic, the synthesis resulting from civilisation's development. I combine natural materials (such as earth, mud, sand, stone) with synthetic materials, found on construction sites (cement, plaster, string, cables, MDF, polyurethane foam, cardboard). The works can be seen as maps of degraded ecosystems caused by modernity and pollution.
