EXODUS PLAYING CARDS

This is a standard poker deck, custom designed and inspired on the book of Exodus.

This project was first realized as a Bachelor of Arts graduation work, back in 2018.

It's about bringing elements and aesthetics of the history described in the book of Exodus,
also known as second book of Moses in the hebrew Bible in a standard playing cards language.

The main cards carry some of the meaningful events that happenedduring
the liberation of the israelites, led by Moses and Aaron

FACE CARDS AND ACES

The Queens and Kings represent characters from the story, and
the Type used for the numbers and letters were designed
based on the hebrew alphabet.

BACK DESIGN

The Back Design is also made from the poker standard, bringing a lot of elements of the hebrew and israelite culture and traditions. The left and right side carry the message "let my people go"

This is the first edition of the Exodus deck, it's based on the color -olive green-

On the face of the King of Spades, Moses is the one who's portrayed.

The 10 of spades was chosen to represent the 10 plagues of Egypt.
Every one of the ten pips represent on of the plagues.

The jokers of the Exodus deck bring the representation of the lamb which every israelite family had to sacrifice on the last evening before the departure. This came with the tenth plague.
