HIstory of Menexis S.A.

The company was founded in 1979 by John Menexis. The main direction was the creation of products, with a technology of molded polyurethane that was far ahead of its time. In the 90's the company moved to Aspropyrgos, in new facilities, where investments in new machinery and high technology improved the quality, increased quantity and lowered the cost of our production.

In the year 2000 the company expanded its production line by adding two new materials: aluminum and wood, thus allowing new products and services to be designed, created and developed. By keeping up with the market's demand user's needs, the company firmly established its place in the Greek market as one of the best wholesale companies.

The result of this operation gives birth to Menexis SA Furniture in 2003, in new privately owned facilities at Elaiona in Thiva. Over its thirty year course, the company has developed, become modernized and continually offers products and services of high quality in the Greek and European market through partnerships with leading retail copanies.

From 2009 onwards, in a challenging time of the international market, the firm integrates design in its internal functioning and with a fresh look, explores new horizons for creating new partnerships that meets requirements for today's and tomorrow's market.

Facilities & Production Departments

Μachinery Section

Equipped with machines including presses, benders, automatic cutting, gluing electrostatic and metallic paints. This is the area where parts, frames and finished products of high quality and durability are manufactured.

Molded Polyurethane

By pouring chemicals into molds, we create materials of different specifications and texture, that meet a wide range of needs for everyday products to products with specific requirements for workplaces, ships, etc.

Surface Treatment

Raw materials such as wood have their surfaces laminated and new materials such as corian, are been shaped with CNC and finishing processes. This is where standardized furniture and special structures are been produced.

Upholstery Section

Textiles are been cut and stitched to be applied onto the finished product. Once QC (quality control) is done the product is wrapped and stored until the day of delivery.

Need & Brief

New business models and new directions for the treatment of the working environment developed around the world. So many businesses don’t request necessary physical presence of workers in a particular workplace. Instead we observe the employee to transfer the working environment at home. The transfer of the working environment at home has created a new set of needs, such as creating a working center in the home environment and how this work center is organized.

Under the new requirements that the new business models have created, the purpose of the Design process is to create a working center to serve functional and aesthetic needs of the user, either in the home environment or the particular working position that has been given to him or her by the company he or she works.
