SCULPTURE
This project consists of 3 plaster sculptures inspired by artist Jorge Oteiza's style, Basque. As well as this, brutalist sculpture also influenced the development and outcome of these.
My topic of focus was religion, specifically Christianity. All three plaster blocks represent and reflect the Christian faith. This was done by subtracting shapes from a plain rectangular block. Subtracting from space. Several objects and shapes were studied, analysed and then chosen to symbolise different stages of spiritual growth. For instance, 3 blocks were made to symbolise who God is, 3 in 1. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
