Gloop is the story of an encounter between a little diver and sea creature. My first attempt at a children's book, this project is comprised of three hand made editions. Hard cover with green book cloth, digitally printed on watercolour paper and accordion folded.
The undulating pages mirror the anatomy of the sea snake, and are held together with a band for stability. The viewer can extend the pages as far as they like, and can explore the illustrations as they wish. The act of exploration mirrors the little diver's journey, too.
The project was for a Print Media and Book Arts course taught by Jenny Lin at Concordia University, I am very thankful for her guidance, as well as an anonymous print media student that helped me stay in the labs after hours to complete it. A big thank you to my friends who helped motivate and inspire me as i worked into the night.
