CLAY - Alpaca
Demonstrating sensitivity to three dimensional forms through the use of drawings, sketches, digital media and physical modelling. As well as visualising, transforming and resolving these forms.
Original form
Monolithic
Several parts of the head were flattened and made cubic. The transition from the hair to the eyes was made much sharper. As well as this, I decided it was best to leave some   curvature, which can be seen on the eyes and ears.
Technical
This does not mean complex, as it could incorporate clean and straightforward components, which give the feel of complexion. My understanding of the word technical was reflected on my animal head with the use of mainly parallel lines and carved curved surfaces. Giving my head a robotic impression.
Fluid
I narrowed the word down to three descriptions: smooth, natural and flowing. I implemented these on my alpaca with the spirals going up the neck, connecting to the ears. As well as this, I got rid of the robotic features on the cheeks, making them smoother and rounder.
