Seattle and the North Cascades
I took a short trip to Washington after my college graduation which comprised of a short stay in Seattle and a few days camping and hiking in North Cascades National Park
with a couple of friends in the area.
I spent a day exploring downtown Seattle and the trip wouldn't be complete
without a visit to the famous Pike Place Market.
The next day, I met up with my friend and his sister and we drove up to
North Cascades National Park.
This Milky Way photo may be my favorite image from this trip. I still remember scouting out the location in the afternoon and getting up in the middle of the night,
driving back to the overlook, and taking the shot.
I remember standing in the cold in the middle of the North Cascades staring
at the darkest and clearest night sky I had ever seen.
Upon our return to the city, I had a night to kill at the airport before my
flight early the next day. I decided to take a quick trip to Kerry Park to
try and capture the iconic Seattle skyline.
