The Wrinkles of Life
As part of my high school AP Art class, I created these 12 pieces. I often hear how people dislike their wrinkles because it makes them look older as if that was a bad thing. Therefore, I depicted wrinkled humans with islamic tiles in the background (as a link to my last name). The tiles, which are more than a hundred years old, are uniquely beautiful and hold so much history. Equally, I believe every wrinkle on a humans face represents memories and one's personal story.
