‘Les scènes de plage’ means the moments found at the beach. Inspired by Côte d’Azur’s (the French Riviera) beautiful beaches, this 24-page‑zine follows a young girl’s day at
the beach. With the absence of narration, the story depends solely on
the visuals/illustrations.
Adopting a particular angle and choosing only 2 colours (duo tone) in the hope of resulting in a more graphic approach to illustration. The main graphic style of the zine is the representation of water or of the sea by thin flowing lines. These thin lines in blue highlight the sea’s volume and fluidity.
