The Future of Sustainability
DC Central Kitchen Annual Report 2009
As the Communications and Development Associate at DC Central Kitchen, I managed this project from start to finish. We based the annual report on the personal stories of people who have been empowered by the Kitchen. Each story ended with an Economic Footprint to explain how the Kitchen's various programs give back to the community, exhibiting a sustainable cycle.

I interviewed each person to be featured in the report, including farmers, formerly homeless individuals, and sous chefs. I organized photo shoots with Ezra Gregg, a freelance photographer, to capture compelling images of each interviewee. To encourage brand consistency, I worked within a layout similar to the design I established for the 2008 annual report. However, I refined the design, using softer tones of our brand colors. In addition, I added organic textures.

The finished project was printed 2-color, off-set on Cougar paper by C & R Printing, Inc.
