Al-Hattaba is considered as a semi-informal settlement located behind the Citadel in Old Cairo. Many people fear Al-hattba and consider it a dangerous place.
Yet, when I went there, it's a place with a strange mix between the past and the present. It conveys layers of history within the details of its architecture.
This doors section is part of my joined masters project " Al-hattaba - the hidden beauty " where I capture the essence of Doors and the layers of history they reveal.
