This collection is more of a description of how I imagined life in old Qatar as it  was described to me by my Grand Mother (mama ouda).

In her stories her sorrows, suppress, Drama, and challenges  in the hard days were always described with a smile that was covered by her batoola ( traditional face cover used to be worn in Qatar up to the 80s). This smile has  always been present in my bad and good days as I have learned that our smile lasts when everything fades away!
