The Parallel Hotel

Co-Lab Course | 2020
This class was a collaborative class that included Graphic Designers, Interior Designers, and Fine Arts majors. We were split into teams and asked to create a boutique hotel from the ground up. Our team created the Parallel Hotel.

Logo I designed for the hotel.

THE PARALLEL HOTEL

The Parallel Hotel is driven by wellness and the duality of life.  The need for stimulation and excitement, and also the need for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Parallel utilizes light, shadow, and subtle motion to create an ever-changing dreamlike environment. Our main objective at the Parallel is to promote wellness while on your journey away from home.  We provide a home base for you to return to every day and relax your senses.

For our location we chose to put the Parallel hotel in New Orleans, on the edge of the French Quarter. Far enough away from the crowd and chaos, but close enough to fun. However this hotel would be compatible with many different cities around the world.

In big cities where the adventure (and sometimes the party) doesn’t stop, the Parallel provides a sanctuary to return to and recharge.

This room was created by one of our interior designers, Allie Cox.

Website mockup made in XD. Please excuse the weird jumping around on the website and lack of audio (I presented this video in person)

PARALLEL GIFT BOX
These are all items that came in the Parallel gift box that is left on each guest's bed.  Inside guests will find a bottle of Absinthe, lavender essential oils, a sleep mask, and a dream journal with a pen. These gifts are meant to assist in making sure each guest has a great balance of fun and relaxation at the Parallel Hotel.

CHECK-IN KIOSKS
The interior designers on our team wanted to create self check-in kiosks.  I was tasked with create the UI for the kiosks as well as the wall mural behind them.
