Mitsubishi’s Chinese New Year campaign was inspired by the patterns and intricate details of washi paper, where auspicious animals were used against the scenic environment that they would be in, i.e. crane soaring up in the sky and koi fishes swimming in the waters.
The visuals were then adapted to newspaper ads and on their respective social media platforms.
